IIS 8 and Windows 8 และ Windows 10 ติดตั้ง IIS8 กับ Windows 8 วิธีการติดตั้ง Internet Information Services 8 หรือ IIS8 บน Windows 8 สำหรับ Windows 8 หรือ Windows 10 จะมาพร้อมกับ IIS 8 การติดตั้งและใช้งานจะไม่ค่อยต่างอะไรกับ Version ที่เป็นของ IIS7 และ Windows 7 (ตัวอย่างนี้มีทั้ง 3 รุ่น คือ Windows 8 Release Preview , Windows 8 Consumer Preview และ Windows 8 Developer Preview)

เลื่อนเมาส์ลงมาตรงข้างล่างขวา จะมี Tools ปรากฏเหมือนในรูป ให้คลิกที่ Search

ไปที่ Setting -> พิมพ์ค้นหาว่า "feature" และให้เลือก Program and Feature เหมือนในรูป

คลิกที่ Turn Windows feature on or off

ภายใต้ Turn Windows feature on or off ให้เลือก Internet Information Service ทั้งนี้ถ้าต้องการเปิด Feature อื่นก็สามารถเลือกได้เช่นเดียวกัน

รอซะครู่จนกว่าจะติดตั้งเสร็จ ซึ่่งจะใช้เวลาประมาณ 5-10 นาที

เมื่อติดตั้งเรียบร้อย และกลับมาที่หน้าจอหลักของ Metro Style ก็จะปรากฏ Icons ของ Internet Information Services

ทดสอบการรัน IIS8 บน Windows 8 ด้วย URL

ถ้าหน้าจอแสดงดังรูป แสดงว่าสามารถทำงานได้

สำหรับ Path root ของ IIS8 จะอยู่ใน C:\Inetpub\wwwroot เช่นเดียวกัน

ใน Windows 8 มาพร้อมกับ IE 10

2. Windows 8 Consumer Preview

ภายใต้ Metro style ให้พิมพ์คำว่า Feature

Settings -> Turn Windows features on or off

เลือก Checkbox ที่ Internet Information Sevices และเลือก OK

รอการติดตั้งซึ่งจะใช้เวลาซะครู่ หลังจากที่เสร๋จสิ้นจะขึ้นหน้าจอแสดง Windows completed the requested changes.

ทดสอบการรันโปรแกรม IIS 8 บน Windows 8 ด้วย URL

ถ้าขึ้นหน้าจอดังรูป ซึ่งจะแสดง Logo ของ IIS8 แสดงว่าสามารถใช้บน IIS8 ได้ปกติ

สำหรับ path root ของ IIS8 ใน Windows 8 จะอยู่ที่เดิมคือ C:\Inetpub\wwwroot
