ผมเคยใช้แบบนี้ครับ ลองดัดแปลงดูนะ
ประกาศ dataset มาไว้เก็บค่าที่ query
dim ds as new dataset

แล้วตรง com = New SqlCommand(sql1, conn)
dtReader = com.ExecuteReader()

ลองเปลี่ยนเป็น
da = new sqldataadapter(sql1,conn)
da.fill(ds,"data ")
GridView1.DataSource = ds.tables("data")

ลองดูครับ ว่าได้รึป่าว
