Responsibilities:
Implement page designs in standards-compliant dynamic XHTML and CSS
Implement presentation functionality in JavaScript and PHP using PHP-Ajax frameworks
Collaborate with the design team to define the information architecture, advocating Web interaction design best practices with a focus on consistency and usability
Work closely with back-end developers to find ways to push the limits of existing Web technology in service of creating the best possible user experience
Create rapid prototypes of interfaces to be used as a blueprint for content and technical development
Manage the overall visual design for web applications, including all branding concept and navigational elements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree/New Graduate welcome
Experience in website development is a plus
Passion to enhance user experience via user interface and interactive design
Strong Web application UI design skills, for examples but might not include, information architecture, interface design, visual design and interactive design
Certain level of web development skills, including PHP, JavaScript and DHTML (HTML, CSS and JavaScript).
Working knowledge of industry standard visual design tools (Visio, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Ability to understand and interpret existing site design and style guides to inform your work
Capable of working effectively in a highly kinetic environment
Excellent communication skills: able to clearly convey, visualize and present the conceptual thought
Comfortable working/meeting with all levels across departments
Experience in the following a plus:
Usability testing and user research
HTML5 and CSS2
AJAX techniques and technologies
Modern and Polished styles, Web application look-and-feel
