รู้จักกับ Controls เครื่องมือ ต่าง ๆ ที่ใช้สำหรับการเขียนโปรแกรมบน Windows Phone การเขียนโปรแกรมบน Windows Phone Application จะมี Controls หรือเครื่องมือที่ใช้สำหรับการออกแบบหน้าจอ Application ของ Page ที่น่าสนใจอยู่ประมาณ 20-30 ตัว โดย Controls บางตัวจะมีรูปแบบการใช้งานที่เหมือน ๆ กับการเขียนโปรแกรมบนรุปแบบอื่น ๆ เช่น Windows Form หรือ Web (ASP.NET) แต่หลัก ๆ แล้ว Controls เหล่านี้สามารถเรียนรู้และใช้งานได้ง่ายโดยการลาก Controls เหล่านั้นมาวางไว้ใน Page แล้วก็กำหนด Property หรือคุณสมบัติต่าง ๆ ของ Controls ก็สามารถใช้ Controls เหล่านั้นได้ในทันที หรือถ้าอยากรู้รายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมสามารถศึกษาได้จากเว็บไซต์ของ MSDN

การเพิ่ม Controls เข้ามาใน Toolbox
บาง Control อาจจะไม่ได้แสดงบน Toolbox แต่เราสามารถเรียก Add Controls เหล่านั้นเข้ามาใน Items ได้ง่าย ๆ ด้วยการคลิกขวาที่ Toolbox

คลิกขวาเลือก Choose Items...

ใน Tab ของ Windows Phone Controls เลือก Items ที่ต้องการ เช่น ProgressBar

รายการถูกแสดงเข้ามาใน Tab Controls สามารถเรียกใช้ได้ทันที
