ตอนที่ 1 : รู้จักกับ Windows Azure และ Azure Java SDK สำหรับภาษา Java หัวข้อและบทความนี้จะเป็นหัวข้อเกี่ยวกับการเขียนโปรแกรมภาษา Java เพื่อติดต่อและใช้งาน Services ต่าง ๆ ของ Windows Azure โดยที่ Windows Azure นั้นได้มีการออกแบบ SDK ไว้รองรับการเขียนร่วมกับ Java ฉะนั้นการเขียน Java กับ Windows Azure จะมีความสะดวกและง่ายมากขึ้น

Windows Azure and Java

Services ที่ Java สามารถเรียกใช้งานได้จะมีอยู่หลายตัวเช่น Azure SQL Database , Mobile Services หรือจะเป็น Storage Services ที่ประกอบด้วย Blob , Table และ Queue และในหัวข้อนี้จะเน้นตัวอย่างเกี่ยวกับการใช้งาน Storage เพราะเป็นเรื่องที่น่าสนใจ และสามารถนำไปใช้งานจริงกับการเขียนโปรแกรมได้ ส่วนเครื่องมือที่จะใช้เขียนคือ Eclipse และ Java SDK โดยอ่านวิธีติดตั้งได้จากที่นี่

การติดตั้ง Windows Azure SDK for Java กับโปรแกรม Eclipse

เปิดโปรแกรม Eclipse โดยรุ่นที่แนะนำให้ใช้คือ INDIGO เป็นต้นไป

เลือกเมนู Help -> Install New Software

เลือก Add...

Name : Azure
Location : http://dl.msopentech.com/eclipse

เลือก Windows Azure Toolkit for Java

เลือก Next

เลือก I accept the terms of the license agreements

กำลัง Download และติดตั้ง Java SDK

เลือก Restart New เพื่อทำการ Restart โปรแกรม Eclispe

จากนั้นโปรแกรม Eclipse จะปิด-เปิดใหม่อัตโนมัติ

หลังจากที่ติดตั้งเรียบร้อยแล้วจะมี Tools ของ Windows Azure แสดงขึ้นมา
